Why Discipleship

Our Impact

Does Our Multiplication Model Work? YES!

The task of reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ is huge, and the number of traditional mission workers and resources are limited. That’s why we take a different approach to the Great Commission, providing clusters of churches with a training model that is reproducible and locally sustained.

Since 2008, we’ve seen 30,897 church plants and 670,135 people make decisions to follow Jesus Christ. We serve 3,475 discipleship-mission, small business, and leadership programs, and out of these programs we have seen 161,726 disciple-makers and leaders trained and sent out to plant churches in least-reached areas.

In 2024 we saw 25,466 disciple-makers trained, 69,380 new believers worshiping in local fellowships, and 3,939 new churches planted in just one year!

Here’s what God has done through Global Disciples in 2024,

Meet Han*.

Han leads a discipleship-mission training program, launched through Global Disciples with your help.

Han's teams went out to villages and communities among the hill people, mostly farmers. They went house to house, and talked face to face, praying for the sick and lending a hand to orphans and widows. Many were miraculously healed. And broken families were restored.

“Even though we went empty-handed, God helped us... His guiding hand is sufficient for us—He inspired us through His Word. In fact, the Holy Spirit transformed the lives of many people," Han says.

For the local church, and those Han continues to train, the mission continues. Recently they trained and sent out ten church planters to another unreached people group.

“The Holy Spirit moved in their hearts, and they were willing to obey the Word of God, to make disciples, and to plant churches in their communities,” he said. “I hope this will really be fruitful for His glory. Blessed be the name of the Lord!”

We are all called by God. No one is excluded. We are the people to go.
Last year through our discipleship training in 74 countries:
• 25,466 disciple makers/church planters were trained
• 69,380 people committed their lives to Christ
• and 3,939 new churches planted

By 2028, our desire is to see more new believers from unreached people groups and have new fellowships planted. We know this is going to take mobilizing the church. That is why we want to challenge you to get involved.

This October, we are praying for the nation of Myanmar. We want to especially highlight the local leaders, disciple-makers, and churches there–and the work they are doing for God's kingdom. There are many obstancles they face every day, yet they remain faithful in their task to see unreached peoples hear the Gospel. Today we want to pray against any opposing forces, and that God's guidance and peace can continue to lead them in their mission.

Thank you for praying with us!

Meet Manish*. He directs a discipleship-mission training in a spiritually dark area in India.

Manish went with the disciple-makers he was training, to a village where he prayed with people and they shared the Gospel of Jesus.

One woman he encountered was Divya*, who had been bedridden for five months. Her family had spent lots of money consulting doctors and witch doctors but unfortunately had no results.

Manish’s team visited the home and told the family about Jesus. And in the name of Jesus, they prayed for Divya. But after prayer, her behavior turned strange and she fled from her bed. After quite some time looking for her, they finally found Divya. She fell to the ground unconscious and her illness and erratic behavior caused by demonic forces left her! The demons fought to maintain control, but they were no match for the name of Jesus and God’s power.

After she was freed and healed, Divya along with her husband, daughter, and mother-in-law all accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and were baptized. By that time, the whole village witnessed the power of God and marveled at Jesus who could set spiritual captives free. Many of them have been slow to repent and put their faith in Christ. “It will take time,” Manish said, “and our ongoing prayer.”

God is greater than any spiritual or physical power we encounter. And Jesus is the only One who offers true freedom.
