Whatever 2024 meant to you, 2025 is a brand new start. God has incredible divine appointments prepared for you over the next twelve months. Here are some key truths to focus your heart and mind. Prepare to receive all that He has for you.

Forgiveness and Redemption
  • Isaiah 43:18-19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Christ Jesus has made us new, and I am grateful for it. His Holy Spirit continues this work within us. If you feel overwhelmed by your past, let me remind you of the words of Norman Vincent Peale.

New Year Bible Verses: Transformation and Renewal
  • Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
  • Ephesians 4:22-24 – “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

We will renew our minds by continually thinking about God’s will for us. One of the key concepts behind this verse in Romans is that of metanoia which literally means.

 “a change of mind, as it appears to one who repents, of a purpose he has formed or of something he has done.” In simplest terms, metanoia is a change of mind.

So, if you’re struggling with your mindset towards the coming year, simply read and meditate on the Word of God. As you do allow this metanoia process to take place within you.

New Year Bible Verses: Hope and Future
  • Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
  • Revelation 21:5 – “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'”

Tim Keller described the Kingdom of God as “now and not yet. ” Which means that the Kingdom of God, has come – in that we have some measure of Gods Kingdom already. Simultaneously, it is also coming, which means there is so much more for us to see. And finally, one day the Kingdom of God will FULLY come. We will live with Christ in peace unbroken for eternity.

So, if you find yourself frustrated by the challenges of daily life, remind yourself of these promises of God’s Kingdom. He plans to give you a hope and a future!

New Year Bible Verses: God’s Faithfulness
  • Lamentations 3:22-23 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
  • Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

Even when we are faithless, God is faithful. If you need we mercies today, simply ask Him for them through prayer. God’s faithfulness is unwavering, a steadfast anchor in the storms of life. He promises to never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). His love endures forever, a steadfast love that never fails (Lamentations 3:22-23). He is a faithful God who keeps His promises (Hebrews 10:23). We can trust in Him, for His word is true (Psalm 33:4). In every circumstance, we can find comfort in His faithfulness, knowing that He is always with us, guiding and protecting us (Psalm 46:1).

  • John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
  • Colossians 3:9-10 – “…you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
